A
Service, Not a System
Companies often struggle to collect
and track regulatory compliance data.
Some complex and expensive ERP systems
are available for larger enterprises,
but these are typically inflexible
and unsuited for handling compliance
issues.
TrueNorth's
Navigator system is an Internet
database service that allows clients
to capture, track and proactively
manage safety, health, training and
environmental data. Our innovative
service enables companies to track
and audit performance online, in real
time, for 100% of locations, people
and compliance requirements.

You
Don’t Need Another Application
to Support
Navigator
isn’t a software package. We
provide Internet-based access to our
proprietary database modules and services,
so there is no software to buy, lease,
load, support or maintain.
There
are also no major up-front capital
costs, licensing requirements or access
limitations. And user training and
support is handled entirely by TrueNorth.
This
means all of the benefits of Navigator’s
expert system with minimal IT demands. |

Service
that Doesn’t Compromise Security
The Navigator application is housed
at Rackspace, a world-class data center
with a 99.999% uptime guarantee. The
Rackspace network uses 3 levels of
security, N+1 redundant HVAC systems,
and a fully switched Cisco network
engineered with full redundancy. Network
connections are multi-homed with DS3
to OC12 connections through AT&T,
UUNet, Qwest, Time Warner and Telecom.
The
servers housing our clients’
data use RAID5 data management, daily
tape backups with offsite storage
and rotation, and professionally managed
disaster recovery processes. A dedicated
Cisco PIX 515R firewall prevents any
unauthorized access. All data transmitted
is also encrypted with VeriSign’s
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.
Fix
it now
Some clients are building their own
mainframe, mid-range or client-server
based imaging and database systems.
If you are, Navigator can meet your
immediate data management needs by
storing your data today so it can
be easily transferred later to your
own applications. |

A
Simple Start–up
The Navigator application was written
in XML code (an advantage in interfacing
with other systems) and runs on Microsoft’s
SQL Server 2000 database.
Initial
Interfacing
Initial data loads can be handled
from HRIS systems, external payroll
processors, financial systems or other
internal databases or spreadsheets.
TrueNorth can interpret and enter
data via hardcopy, or clients can
manually key data into the system.
Data housed by third-party providers
can be easily transferred using direct
data entry, electronic transmission
or hard copy transfer.
Maintenance
Interfacing
After initial data loads are complete,
subsequent maintenance interfaces
can be scheduled to ensure the database
and your legacy systems are synchronized.
These interfaces are possible for
all platforms including mainframe,
mid-range, and client server ERPs
such as SAP®, Oracle®, PeopleSoft®
and Baan®. |
